Britt Arnesen & Matt Sircely: Songs on Sunday Afternoon
Join us at the Palindrome on Sunday 1/30 during tasting room hours for a special afternoon of music with multi-instrumentalist songwriters Britt Arnesen and Matt Sircely from 2-5pm.
Britt Arnesen and Matt Sircely have worked together played informally at festivals for years, yet the two seldom get a chance to play since they live in different time zones. This Sunday, Britt and Matt will offer listeners a chance to hear their songs and favorite traditional tunes in the wonderful setting of Palindrome Hall during tasting room hours.
Ever since moving to Montana from her home state of Alaska, Britt Arnesen has become a songwriting favorite in the Northern Rockies and beyond, often performing over the years with Montana’s finest bluegrass and traditional pickers. A multi-instrumentalist on upright bass, mandola and guitar, Britt’s songs all have their own character with many timeless qualities.
Last winter, Matt contributed mandolin and octave mandolin to Britt’s most recent record: Move in Closer. Hear it here: https://907britt.bandcamp.com/album/move-in-closer
Matt Sircely has continued composing through the winter, and he and Britt will also perform some of their most special new songs.
