The Palindrome and KPTZ Radio Port Townsend are incredibly excited to welcome Reggie Garrett & The SnakeOil Peddlers to our historic stage on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. Joining this fantastic Seattle act will be local trio J.A.M. comprised of Olympic Peninsula superstars Jack Dwyer, Abakis and Micaela Kingslight. This is a special evening of moving and soulful music you won’t want to miss! Complete with fine ciders, wines and meads from Eaglemount you’d be hard pressed to ask for a better way to spend a beautiful summers eve.
Based in Seattle, Reggie Garrett has been performing throughout the U.S. and Canada for years. He performs an incredibly moving array of original songs mixed with pop covers and more traditional style folk ballads. Reggie is a purveyor of a unique urban strain of (mostly) acoustic music incorporating a number of diverse influences, including: Folk, Latin rhythms, Blues, Gospel, Celtic, Rock, Jazz and more. The result is a musical blend that has excited and touched audiences all throughout North America.
He has been compared to acoustic legends Richie Havens and Bill Withers by the national folk publication Dirty Linen. As a songwriter Garrett’s specialty is creating and enhancing a mood that is sure to have spellbinding affect on all listeners.
